After an excruciating week off, the Kardashians came roaring back with three great storylines. Kim takes us inside her process with raising North, Khloe is shoved down party lane by Malika and best of all, we see Scott, Kourtney and Sofia (!!!) go on a family vacation to Finland together. Let’s dive deeper into the stories with this week’s awards:

Moment That Made Me Feel Like the Oldest Person Alive

A great part of this episode was watching Kim make parenting decisions – it’s so interesting to see her trying to navigate raising a child as famous as North is, being the daughter of Kim and Kanye. Plus, North loves entertaining; Kendall and Kim talk about how they think North is going to be a huge star because she’s so confident and truly enjoys performing. They’re having this conversation because Kim wants to discuss whether or not she and Kanye should allow North to guest star in JoJo Siwa’s next Youtube video.

JoJo Siwa is a Youtube star and seeing a short clip of her video made me feel older than I’ve ever felt before – I could not be more out of the loop when it comes to Youtube stars like Jojo or David Dobrik, or understanding the appeal of Slime.

Most Full Circle Moment

The premise of the JoJo / North video was that Kim was dropping off North for JoJo to babysit her; Kim of course stayed in the house to make sure North was okay and not too shy in the video. Of course, North ended up being really shy in the beginning. Kim sympathizes with North remembering when she met her idol, JLo, and was so clutzy and nervous – celebrities, they’re just like us! To remedy this, Kim facetimed North’s best friend to get her super excited about being in the video since the two of them are obsessed with JoJo together. The relatable part comes with Kim is looking around Jojo’s house and ends up in her merch room which is literally insane. She facetimes Kanye to basically say what the fuck to him in both an admiration type of way and a wow I’m too old for this way. It’s a great moment that just felt so accurate seeing Kim feeling so out of her depth in this room that clearly is meant for children. I felt the same way watching it, not understanding but respecting JoJo’s hustle.

It was also a great moment witnessing Kim weigh the pros and cons of letting North star in a Youtube video. She talks to Kris about this who uses Kendall and Kylie as examples. Both of the Jenner girls grew up in the spotlight the same way all of the cousins are and the two of them turned out as powerhouse business women. Kris encouraged Kim to let North do what she enjoys and learn from these experiences. It’s crazy how long we’ve been following this family – watching Kylie and Kendall grow up and now watching North, Penelope, Mason and the rest of the cousins grow up. It’s incredible to watch and be a part of it – truly a full circle moment.

Biggest Birthday Bitch

This was definitely the least exciting storyline of the episode but I think we can all relate to either being the Khloe or the Malika in this situation. It was Malika and Khadijah’s birthday and they decided they wanted to celebrate in Las Vegas. The excuse was that OT Genesis, Malika’s boyfriend at the time, was performing the night of their birthday in Vegas and they were all going to get a table and go to his set. Side note: it’s great seeing this now because we know they are broken up but that Malika is pregnant with his baby. This truly is the friend group that just keeps on giving. Malika decides that she doesn’t want this to just be a normal night out but that she wants to get blackout drunk and wants Khloe to join her in pursuit of that goal. A noble birthday quest however Khloe was still scarred from the last time she got too drunk when she essentially lost her shit in Palm Springs.

Malika is unrelenting in trying to pressure Khloe to drink and makes Khloe really uncomfortable; Malika picks a fight with Khloe in the club and Khloe smartly removes herself. Khloe always is concerned about her friends having a good time and having fun so she of course wanted Malika to have a good birthday but just didn’t want to get that drunk. Malika apologized afterwards but I think we all have experiences being both Malika and Khloe in this situation. Sometimes you really want to have an over-the-top fun night and your friend isn’t in the mood and sometimes you aren’t in the mood while you’re friend wants to have a wild night. Extremely relatable going-out dynamics. P.S. Speaking of birthday bitches, my birthday is in 3 weeks people. GET READY.

Best Co-Parenting Moment of the Week

I love how this is becoming a regular award on this column because despite all of the relationship drama we’ve witnessed, all of the women are figuring it out for their kids. Kourtney explains that she’s been dying to go to Finland in part of her continuous search for a place that truly feels like home to her – I think something we can all relate to. At first she wants it to be a girls trip, but after everyone straight up denies her (I would too) she decides to make it a family trips so the kids can join her over Spring Break to see the Northern Lights. Because Scott of course doesn’t want to miss out on a family vacation with the kids, he asks if he can come. Kourtney of course says yes and actually invites Sofia to come. Yes, you read that right – Kourtney was the one who invited Sofia. Then in an even better moment, we see Kourtney ask Penelope if she wants Sofia to come to which she says yes. This is not the first time they’re all going on vacation together but it’s the first time we’re bearing witness to the process. Khloe compliments her on being an incredible co-parent and Kourtney agrees with her – as she should! It shows great strength to be able to be so close with an ex like that and then invite his girlfriend. I love that they’re showing us this insight into the logistics of how their co-parenting works especially with another serious significant other in the picture.

Most Attractive Scott Moment

Scott is incredible this episode. The growth we’ve seen in him is unlike any other success story. He went from immature, irresponsible, drunk mess to a concerned, joyful co-parent and boyfriend. In this episode, we see him struggle with juggling these respective responsibilities as a co-parent and a boyfriend. He of course wanted to join Kourtney and his kids on their spring break and wanted to bring Sofia but had reservations about this all being on camera. Sofia has been on vacations with Scott and the family before but this is the first time it will be on the show. Scott notes that he and Kourtney have so much history not only with each other, but also with the KUWTK film crew. He ended up spending so much time freaking out about making sure everyone felt comfortable that he became irritable and uncomfortable himself.

When visiting Santa’s Village with the kids, he and Sofia use Mason sleeping in the car as an excuse to leave because they were tired. Kourtney is annoyed that they used this lame excuse and implored Scott to just be more honest. After talking with Kim over Facetime and venting about the stress of making sure everyone felt okay, he goes to talk to Kourtney again. Kourtney tells him that it’s totally okay to go off with Sofia for some alone time he just needs to be honest with her. After this conversation, the mood relaxes. We see Sofia and Scott go snowmobiling just the two of them and everyone has a better time after this. It was just great to see Scott try so hard to make sure everything ended up okay and felt very real while he tried to straddle his relationships with his kids, Kourtney and Sofia. Sofia notes that he’s way more sophisticated with Kourtney than he is with her, but I think it makes sense. Scott is still coming from behind with Kourtney – he’s let her down so many times (plus she actually is older than him) whereas with Sofia, shes younger than him and he hasn’t done anything that requires him to prove himself to her so he can just be his silly self with her. It’s actually very sweet. Ugh this makes it so difficult but I love Sofia and Scott together but it makes me feel like I’m betraying Kourtney. If I had to choose I would still choose Kourtney and Scott but damn the way Scott is with Sofia is extremely swoon-worthy. Anyways, responsible, concerned dad and boyfriend Scott is the hottest Scott.
